Biography
William Foster specializes in rural and territorial development policies, political economy, and the analysis of rural poverty and inequality. He currently directs the Millennium Nucleus for the Integral Development of Territories (CEDIT), a project funded by the National Institute of International Development (ANID). His goal is to promote comprehensive and more balanced territorial development in Chile through the formulation of public policies supported by advances in the social sciences. The ultimate goal is to help each community and territory reach its potential to contribute to improving the well-being of its inhabitants and to national development.
