Biography
Gianni Romaní Chocce is a Full Professor in the Department of Administration at the Universidad Católica del Norte, Antofagasta, Chile. She holds a Master's and PhD in Administration and Finance from the University of São Paulo, Brazil. Her research interests include entrepreneurship, financing alternatives, and angel investing in Latin America. She is a Principal Investigator at the Millenium Nucleus Center for the Integrated Development of Territories (CEDIT) and leader of the Global University Entrepreneurial Spirit Student Survey (GUESSS) project in Chile. She is an Associate Researcher at the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM Chile) project and a member of the Latin American Smart Ecosystems Group (GEIAL). She also currently serves as Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and SMEs (CEMP) at the Faculty of Economics and Administration at the same university. She is a member of the Global Entrepreneurship Research Network (GEN) and a leading member for Chile of the Global Business Angel Network (GBAN) and the Global Entrepreneurship Research Network (GEN). Member of the Board of Directors of the Escondida Mining Foundation and Aster, a startup accelerator.

- 2023. Directora del proyecto Creación de la primera red de inversionistas ángeles del norte de Chile, financiado por CORFO y apoyado por Escondida – BHP.
