Benjam\u00edn Jara is an independent researcher and consultant with relevant experience in social sciences and applied research on disasters, social vulnerability, labor markets, and economic geography, specializing in quantitative analysis. He holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering and a Master's degree in Agricultural Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. He also holds a PhD in Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics from The Ohio State University. His research interests include subjective well-being, quantitative studies in disaster scenarios, economics applied to regional-spatial issues, and inter- and transdisciplinary intersections.<\/p>

He has published several scientific articles in the areas of regional development, urban-rural linkages, and post-earthquake labor markets. In each of these articles, he has used empirical methods and generated interdisciplinary connections to advance knowledge through applied research, focusing primarily on the cases of Chile and Latin America.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
