Juan Paulo Marchant

Biography

Juan Paulo Marchant Espinoza is an academic and researcher. He works as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the School of Psychology of Andrés Bello University (Casona Las Condes and República Campuses) and at Gabriela Mistral University (Advance Psychology).
He is a psychologist and holds a master's degree in Gender and Cultural Studies from the University of Chile. He also holds a doctorate in Public Policy from Universidad Mayor.
His areas of research and specialization focus on: Gender violence; Violence against women and Reparation for victims. Currently, he analyzes the occurrence of femicides from a territorial perspective and public policies focused on prevention, mitigation and reparation for those women who have survived this type of crime.
In the public sector, he was National Coordinator of the Shelters and Women's Centers of the National Service for Women and Gender Equality, between 2012 and 2018. He has also been an adjunct professor at the University of Talca (psychology) and Universidad Mayor (kinesiology).
